Arden further elaborate on the need to check extremism on social media. To prevent this, governments need to work with civil society and technology companies. She emphasized on social media companies that social media should use its power to some extent. It should also play an important role in reform the online environment. Arden emphasized that social media companies should design algorithms that would eliminate extremist movements, as well as crack down on those who run such movements.
