Actress and singer Irene Cara, popular for her roles in Fame and Flashdance from the 1980s, has died. A publicist announced Cara’s death on Saturday on her social media account, saying she died at home in Florida. Currently, no cause of death has been identified. She also said that “The music and films she made will forever preserve the legacy of a beautiful soul”. Cara was born into a working-class Cuban/Puerto Rican family in the Bronx.
