‘Elden Ring‘ wins The Game of the Year Awards 2022. After the COVID prevalent, the Game Awards returned to Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater Thursday night. “Elden Ring,” the top Game of the Year winner from FromSoftware’s, basked in the cheers of the gaming community. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki said that “We have challenged so many difficulties while starting this game, so I’m really thankful. “I haven’t made up my mind to make even more excited games than this. We still have a lot more to do with ‘Elden Ring,’ so receiving this award really motivates us.” There were seven nominations for “Elden Ring” going into the ceremony. A prize for art direction, roleplaying, and directing was also awarded to “Elden Ring.”. In 2019, FromSoftware’s won Game of the Year for “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.”.
